  • (vv. 3-5) What do the filthy garments signify regarding Joshua (and Israel's) spiritual state? What is the significance of the "clean robes" and "turban" being placed on him?

  • (vv. 6-7) What responsibilities does the Angel of the Lord give to Joshua if he wishes to govern God's house? How does obedience relate to the blessing in this context?

  • (vv. 8-9) Who is the "Branch" mentioned in verse 8, and what does this title suggest about the coming Messiah? What does the stone with "seven eyes" represent?

  • Application and Takeaways (v. 10): How does the promise of a "vine and fig tree" reflect the peace of God’s kingdom? How does this chapter illustrate the concept of justification by grace, as highlighted in Bible Hub?

Prayer: Lord God, we are sinful beings clothed in filthy  garments.  This we confess.  We thank you for the redemption that is promised to us and all who by faith trust in Jesus alone and turn from their sin in repentance.
