Who is the most prideful or the most humble famous person you can think of & why do you think that?
Why would Judah (Zion) & Israel (Samaria) have felt secure & at ease, ignoring the warning of God of their impending destruction by an invading nation (v.1-3)?
In v.4-6, what examples of luxury, greed & selfishness had their pride led them to?
Read Proverbs 10:22 & 21:5. Wealth is a blessing from God & can be a result of diligent work; therefore, it is not inherently evil. What made the lifestyle enjoyed by the wealthy in Israel evil? (v.6)

Prayer: Lord God, we humble ourself before you. Thank you for your grace that abounds to us. Lead us to repent of pride, & inspire us to be generous, helping people here, there, & everywhere for your glory. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
