Who was Amos speaking God’s word to, who was he speaking about, and what was his general message?
In verse 2, what animal is Amos comparing God’s voice to, & what can we learn about God from this? (see also Amos 3:8)
Verses 3-15 speak God’s judgement of several nations surrounding Israel. What sins is he judging them for?
The Lord says he will send fire to judge each of the nations in this passage. What are some reasons fire is a form of God’s judgement throughout Scripture?

Read Acts 4:10-13. God used ordinary people in the early church to speak his word, just like he did with Amos. How can we take their example?
Prayer: Oh Lord Jesus, you are the Lion of Judah, the Righteous Judge of all people for all time. Thank you for speaking your word to us, for saving us from our sin, and help us speak your word to others. In Jesus name and for your glory, Amen.
