  • How does Joel 2:28-32 foreshadow the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost?

  • Who will be saved (v32)?

  • What does “all flesh” signify?  Everyone or from all people groups?

  • Read Acts 2:17-21. What event causes Peter to reference this prophetic utterance?  In this passage what supernatural gifts are exhibited?

  • What does the coming of the Holy Spirit mean for all believers? 

  • Read John 14:16-17; Romans 8:9-11; I Cor 6:19-20.

  • In 3:1-6 what does God accuse the surrounding nations of?

  • In v9-12, how does God invite the nations to war?

  • Contrast 3:13 to 2:24 when God is speaking to Judah.

  • In v17-21 God promises Judah a glorious future. How does this passage compare to Revelation 2:9-11; 22-27?
